You have no time to be still
Your life is madness. You’re flat out keeping on top of everything; work, the house, the kids, the family, your friends, the bills, the cooking, and the cleaning. And then comes the end of the day, when you finally collapse into bed exhausted, knowing you’ve gotta get up and do it all again tomorrow.
And there, in that brief moment of stillness before sleep, you feel it. That moment of raw honesty, yearning and sadness that asks … ‘what about me?’
It’s all up to me
As a single mumma for 15 or so years, I lived this life. There is was much to juggle (especially on my own). I wanted to give my kids every opportunity, I wanted to be a ‘present’ Mumma who was in my kid’s lives (unlike my own Mother), I wanted to be that friend people could rely on, I wanted to keep a clean and organized house. I NEEDED to work hard to pay the bills because all the financial responsibility sat with me.
I was meeting all my responsibilities. I was busy and happy, but if I’m honest – I wasn’t fulfilled. There was always a deep nagging feeling inside that there had to be more for me.
Our soul yearns for us to be still
I know my story is familiar to many women. I believed that if everything was ‘tickety boo’ in my external life, then that would complete me. But this really wasn’t so, because in those rare moments of ‘nothingness’, my soul truth told a different story.
I was keeping myself busy in everybody else’s life at the expense of my own. I prioritized others instead of me and as a result, I led an unfulfilled existence as a partial version of the me.
Stillness is within reach of us all
You can reclaim some time back for you, if you decide you matter enough.
First step is to acknowledge that you deserve and desire it. Then take stock of the expectations being placed on you by yourself and others. Decide from here to make a change and start slowly. Give yourself permission to loosen the reigns on life a little, say no to something allowing a tiny bit of space for you. Then claim it! And do nothing more than allow yourself the bliss of sitting in stillness; ideally somewhere in nature, but anywhere away from your normal distractions.
You’ll be saying YES to YOU first and your soul will love you for it!
Connect with other women who teach and inspire you
I’m so grateful for all the women in the Virtual Women’s Village who teach me how to make space for me. So many other like-minded women who are on their journey home to themselves, teach me the importance of reclaiming ‘me’ and inspire me to keep going. I wish this for you too.
Much love,

You deserve to be nurtured the way you nurture others

The members of our Virtual Women’s Village know what it’s like to be apart of a truly safe, loving and nurturing sisterhood.
Every day, women are re-claiming their lives piece by piece to remember who they really are, before they got crazy busy and lost in the never ending ‘to-do’ lists and demands of ‘life’.
What are you yearning for? What’s that something ‘more’ that’s nagging deep inside you?
We all have access to this knowing, but often we need a little support to find it. Reach out, take our hand and let’s find out together.
